I’ve been a writer-for-hire for 40 years, serving more than 250 business clients. In 2019, the pandemic changed the world, and I had to adjust my business strategy. Today, I write an eclectic mix of stories for thinkers and curious people, including cultural observations, opinions, critiques, personal philosophies, and ideas for living life completely.
I'm a curious creature, an engaged observer, and an autodidact. I was born in Detroit to parents who survived World War II. I lived in Michigan for 22 years. Since that time, I’ve lived in Utah, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. I never had the opportunity to attend college, but I’ve never let that stop me from thinking and dreaming. Before my writing career, I worked as an auto mechanic, machinist, construction worker, electrician, layout artist, photographer, and small business owner, among other things.
I'm also a Dad, husband, grandfather, and caregiver. I've been married to my soul mate for 49 years. I enjoy thinking, writing, problem-solving, road cycling, walking, photography, puttering in the garage, and supporting small businesses. I hope you enjoy what's here, share it with others, and comment frequently.
In December 2022, I quit all legacy social media and started fresh on Mastodon. Open-sourced and decentralized. It’s a unique and engaging space focused on community, not algorithms. You should try it!
